Official rules
The Workday Putting Challenge is a game of skill and effort, run by Workday in the Finance Zone at Workday Rising 2026.
How to play
Nine holes are spread across the zone. Talk with a solution consultant at any demo station, scan the tent card on their desk, and answer one question. A first-try answer earns 100 points. A second try earns 50. Either way you get the answer and something worth taking with you.
The theater and the SME lounge are holes too. Catch a talk or sit down with an expert, then scan their card. That is 100 points each, no question asked.
Play all nine in a day and you pick up another 100.
The closing putt
One putt a day at the green. Sink it for 300. The rings pay 150 and 75, and every attempt is worth 25. On Thursday morning, putts count double.
Winning
The top score in each expo session wins that session. Ties go to the better putt that day. If that still leaves two players level, the earlier score takes it.
The highest total across all four sessions wins the Finance Zone Cup, revealed on Thursday at 11:30 AM. One session prize per person. Win a second time and the prize passes to the next player on that day’s list, with both names on the board.
Claiming a prize
Prizes are handed over in person at the green. Each champion has through the following day to collect. Thursday’s winners and the Cup have until noon on Thursday. After that the prize goes to the next eligible player.
Winners choose from the menu on offer, an item worth $20 or less, or a donation.
Your information
We ask for your first name, last name, and company. Nothing else. On the board you appear as your first name, last initial, and company.
You can delete your details at any time from your scorecard, and everything is deleted within seven days of Rising.
Who can play
Everyone in the zone is welcome to play. Prizes are for registered attendees who are 18 or older. Workday employees and zone staff are not eligible for prizes, and neither are partners unless they are also a Workday customer. Anyone can play hidden from the board. Decisions of Workday are final.
